Now that the holidays are over and the family has gone home, (whew!), we're back to planning the rally.
We have had some serious concerns about opening the rally to the general public on Saturday; the predominant one
is that no one will show up! But seriously, security for our possessions on-site is a problem if the
public is allowed in since the cabins are right there at the rally field. Another concern is the swimming
pool and safety and liability insurance for $1M US (ack!).
We have, therefore, made the command decision NOT to invite the general public.
At least, not this year, and not at this site. All this means is that we won't be advertising the rally
locally except to invite known riders' groups and possibly some hot-rod clubbers (to provide extra color).

Further, we have yet to pin down Sunday's ride destination. We have the feeling that anything
is OK with you guys, but we live here - you don't. Tell us what you would like to see or do.
Destinations under consideration include:
-Graceland (of course)
-Beale Street (naturally - although it ain't much except for the Hard Rock Cafe)
-Pink Palace Museum
-Shiloh (Civil War battlefield)

And finally, Saturday night's catfish dinner will not be on-site. We can't cater it in
(cuz it must be served hot from the fryer) so we'll all ride over to Miss Sipp's Catfish
House in Kerrville, TN, about 15 minutes from the site. (They also serve steak and chicken for
you carnivores.) We will have the veranda all to ourselves. This meal will NOT be included
in the registration fees! Anybody have a preference for Sunday night's dinner?

Once these details are tied down we'll get the registration page up on the Rally website.
Depending on the responses from you guys, our deadline is to have the reg page up by
the end of the month. Please, please express your opinions!

Jeff & Lisa

PS: The webmistress hasn't updated the site recently (including the countdown - Sorry, Fats!)
but look for new stuff by this weekend!
